The turn was a HEART, so obviously a flush was impossible at that point. If he really assumed that KGB was playing for a flush then that's a very stupid thing to say. He tells KGB "I'm going all in because I don't think you have the spades" What really bothers me, though, is his speech play. A player of his type would recognize that the way he lost is probabilistically infinitesimal. I understand that he lost all of his money at the game, but he is presented throughout the movie as an analytical player that respects and understands the game deeply. He didn't play badly at all, he would have played badly if he HADN'T gone all in. His pocket cards block a possible 4 of a kind, so there is only one hand that could possibly beat him, which is Aces full of 9s, which KGB has ![]() ![]() Matt Damon had A9 and got his full boat with a 99A board. Heads up, you have 9s full of Aces, you are an idiot to not go all in
